Post blogs getting a facelift

It’s a new season and the perfect time for a makeover (or makeunder).

If you frequent Post blogs such as The Fix or Wonkblog, you may have noticed some changes. These and some other blogs aim for a streamlined look to let readers see all the latest content. More blogs are slated to change over in the next few weeks. In addition to appreciating the sleeker design, we think you’ll find it easier to keep up with posts and engage with your favorite bloggers and other Post commenters.

Of course, with any technology change, there have been a few bumps along the way. Fans of The Insider, our Redskins blog, have gotten to know Melissa Bell well. She oversees our blogs and is heading up the change. Commenters on The Insider had to wade through a few days of commenting issues as a result of the change and helped Bell discover some of the root problems. Our tech team worked quickly to resolve the issues and it’s paid off. On game days, we’ve seen more comments (and less bugs) on The Insider than ever before.

You’ll notice this blog also made the switch — it’s easier to find the latest posts from the main blog page and you’ll get a good summary of the post before you click into it. We hope to move our other blogs to new formats soon.

If you have any questions (or concerns) about the changes, leave them in the comments on this post, and we’ll respond.
