MLB playoffs 2011: Rangers at Tigers ALCS Game 5

The Detroit Tigers are on the brink of elimination after last night’s 7-3 loss in 11 innings to the Texas Rangers in the ALCS. Once again, outfielder Nelson Cruz blasted a huge home run to propel Texas. The Rangers lead the series three games to one.

As Adam Kilgore wrote earlier today, Thursday’s game, scheduled to start at 4:19, is Detroit’s last stand.

Pitching ace Justin Verlander is the Tigers’ best and only hope. C.J Wilson is pitching for the Rangers.
