George W. Bush's approval rating has hit a new low-point in Post-ABC polling.
In the newly released poll, just 32 percent approve of the way President Bush is handling his job. The summary rating had been stuck at 33 percent from July to December.
The president has not enjoyed an approval rating above 50 percent since January of 2005, and those disapproving "strongly" continue to outnumber strong approvers by greater than 3 to 1. (The full trend is available here.)
In the new poll, two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the way he's handling his job. Disapproval has stayed above 60 percent since the 2006 midterm elections. Among independents, who were decisive in delivering control of Congress in that election, nearly three-quarters disapprove of the president's job performance.
