Adele helps you find love; Metallica not so much

Is it Adele’s Grammy winning power that makes her fans more dateable? (Mario Anzuoni - Reuters)
Do you spend every Saturday night listening to Adele’s heartbreak- heavy “21” on repeat while pining for true love? Well, that might not be time wasted. The British songstress might be able to help you and her other fans make a love connection on the dating Web site Tastebuds.fm.

The online match maker, which connects potential daters based on music taste, crunched the numbers and found that people who listened to Adele were 20 percent more likely to receive a message than those who like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, the Beatles and Metallica. (Metalheads have a tougher time of finding love than sappy love song listeners? Shocking.)

Maybe the Grammy winner should switch from eHarmony, where she told Entertainment Weekly she didn’t have much luck finding love.

No word on which authors will get bibliophiles a date on Alikewise.com. I’ll guess Stephen King isn’t your best bet, though.
