The lip-synching soldier is fast finding a way to the top of BlogPost’s ridiculously silly and ridiculously good trends list. There was the Army’s interpretation of Lady Gaga. Then there was the Indonesian policeman who almost lost his job for singing “Chaiya Chaiya.” Now, from somewhere far off in Afghanistan, the men and women of 266 Rein take on Britney Spears’s “Hold It Against Me.” It’s by far the most slick production yet.
According to their YouTube page, it took the soldiers three months to finish. And it shows. Whoever did the filming and editing has got a solid vision, from using a dirty window to imitate Britney’s blocked voice to the earnest delivery of each soldiers’s lines. It’s a good way to start a Friday:
