Chattanooga vs. Disney World: the Tennessee town wins

Tapping into online viral videos as an ad campaign for Disney seemed like a perfect fit. The campaign uses home videos of parents surprising their adorable tots with trips to Disneyland. It’s Internet fodder with screaming, sometimes-crying, joyful surprise when the kids declare their parents the best parents ever.

The ads are not just Disney creations. Hundreds of parents have been uploading their own videos on YouTube. One video, however, may not make the cut for best Disney promotion. Though the Chattanooga, Tenn. tourist board ought to look into hiring them.

A couple told their children they would be headed to Chattanooga for a week-long vacation. They then filmed the reaction of their daughter and son when they told them the trip was cancelled for a week-long trip to Disney World, with princess breakfasts, appointments at the Bippity-Boppity hair salon and dinner with Mickey.

The children were not impressed:

Obviously, they’re fans of Glenn Miller.
