Hank Williams Jr. song axed for ‘Monday Night Football’ — which song should replace it?

With the news that ESPN is getting rid of Hank Williams Jr.’s classic intro to “Monday Night Football,” “Are You Ready,” football fans are left hurting for a good song to rile them up before their favorite entertainment on the worst day of the week.

The network pulled the song earlier this week after Williams made an analogy to Adolf Hitler while discussing President Obama on Fox News.

With the song now gone for good, the Post’s Matt Brooks at the Early Lead blog suggested ESPN go back to Monday Night Football’s roots and its pyschedelic theme “Score.” But BlogPost thinks it still needs a song, so we decided to go to Pandora for a little help. Here’s what the music recommendation site came up with:

AC/DC - It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock N' Roll):

Travis Tritt - Put Some Drive In Your Country

Collin Raye: My Kind of Girl

Toby Keith - A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action

And listen to “Are You Ready” for old time’s sake:
