Hillary Clinton: ‘No’ to second term in Obama’s cabinet

Clinton: Wouldn't serve a second term (Amr Abdallah Dalsh - Reuters)
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told CNN she wouldn’t serve a second term in Obama’s cabinet in her current post — or as Secretary of Defense.

A tweet sent from “The Situation Room” producer Michelle Jaconi promotes Clinton’s interview with Wolf Blitzer, set to air Wednesday night:

Sec. Hillary Clinton tells @WolfBlitzerCNN that she would NOT be in an Obama 2nd term cabinet. Watch CNN at 5 pm ET for full interview.less than a minute ago via web

The transcript of the interview is at CNN. Update: This isn’t the first time Clinton mentioned the possibility of a single term, but it appears her answers to Blitzer are more direct than they’ve been in recent months. In January, Clinton told NBC's “The Today Show” she wouldn’t commit to serving a second term. Around that same time, she signaled something similar on PBS’s “Tavis Smiley Reports,” saying she wouldn’t want to “make any predictions” about a second term.

Clinton is currently in Egypt and greeted a range of ministers and members of the public today, telling them “this is Egypt’s moment” as the country undergoes political tranformation.
