On Monday, for the first time since the 1930s, snow hit Wellington, New Zealand. Filmmaker Ro Tierney captured the glee and surprise of passersby in a short film he posted to Vimeo. To snow-socked citizens of the southern hemisphere, the charm of the winter may be wearing thin, but for those of us still in the summer in the northern hemisphere, it’s a good reminder: Winter is coming. And it isn’t always that bad.
