Japan hit by 7.1-magnitude earthquake, tsunami warning issued

Update: The tsunami warning has been called off amid power outages throughout the area.

A strong aftershock has rattled the northeast coast of Japan. Though reports say there has been no damage done at the imperiled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, a tsunami warning has been issued. It is the first warning issued since last month’s earthquake and tsunami. Follow along with people reporting on the quake here:
