Stephen Colbert’s crusade against Arizona Sen. Jon “Not Intended to Be a Factual Statement” Kyl continued last night on “The Colbert Report,” as he used Twitter to produce round-the-clock non-facts about Kyl using the hastag #NotIntendedToBe AFactualStatement.
Kyl has come under fire for his statements on the Senate floor in which he said that “well over” 90 percent of Planned Parenthood’s services are abortions. The actual number is 3 percent. Kyl’s office issued a statement to CNN saying that his remarks “were not intended to be a factual statement, but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, an organization that receives millions in taxpayers’s dollars, does subsidize abortions.”
Here are a few of Colbert’s non-fact tweets:
Jon Kyl cheated on Sandra Bullock. #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement
Jon Kyl destroyed love in 1973. All feelings since then have been but a shadow of the original concept. #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement
John Kyl is 90% prune juice. #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement
