It’s a bad month for bad guys. That’s the running joke on Twitter right now, but it’s pretty accurate.

Just a few weeks after Osama bin Laden’s capture — 10 years in the making — accused Bosnian Serb war criminal Ratko Mladic was arrested in Serbia on Thursday, 16 years after his arrest warrant.

Hours later, news breaks that after 17 years of searching for Bernard Munyagishari, a former Hutu militia leader, authorities say he has been captured in Congo. The U.K.’s Guardian newspaper reported that Munyagishari is wanted on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity for his role in the killings of over 800,000 Rwandans between April and June 1994.
