Stephen Colbert tries out Tim Pawlenty’s ‘Google Test’

Tim Pawlenty talks about his “Google Test” (Screengrab from “The Colbert Report”)
Last week, Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty said that he applied the “Google Test” when trying to fix the nation's economic problems. “If you can find a service or a good available on Google or the Internet,” Pawlenty said, “then the federal government probably doesn't need to be providing that good or service.”

Umm, what?

On his show “The Colbert Report” Tuesday, political satirist Stephen Colbert tries out Pawlenty’s Google Test with Medicare, showing that the service is probably not necessary because there are all kinds of health services on the Internet, incluing WebMD tips, cardiac patients we can friend on Facebook, and black market drugs available to ship from Canada.
