Wall Street protesters to target NYPD cops Friday (photos)

On Day 13 of the Wall Street demonstrations, protesters marching against what they call corporate greed and America’s “corrupt” democratic processes said they would go to police headquarters Friday, in what many say will be a test of whether tensions will escalate, MSNBC reports.

Anger toward the NYPD has risen since some 80 people participating in the Occupy Wall Street movement were arrested Sunday, and several woman were maced and pepper sprayed.

Police have said that they responded “appropriately,” and that pepper spray was a better alternative than night sticks.

The few hundred remaining protesters also say they are in for the long haul, and are forming a “winterization committee” to prepare for the cold season.
