U-Va. Board of Visitors gets sarcastic fan mail (video)

CHARLOTTESVILLE ---- I am just now catching my breath from the events of the last few days of drama at the University of Virginia, and came across a satirical video posted on Monday by two U-Va. graduates.

It’s called “Fan Mail” and features Juli Kreko (Class of 2009) and Jacquie Walters (Class of 2011) giving some love and advice to the university’s governing board ahead of their Tuesday meeting to discuss the reinstatement of President Teresa Sullivan, who was asked to step down earlier this month. (During that meeting, the board voted to unanimously reinstate Sullivan, and everyone pledged to work together.)

I’m not going to try to summarize it — just watch it for yourself:

The two women wrapped up the video in typical U-Va. fashion — a Thomas Jefferson quote. Their pick: “Good humor is one of the preservatives of our peace and tranquility.”

I am based in Charlottesville this week, and you can follow me on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news on the university’s presidential shake-up. Here are some of our recent articles:
