Southwest Waterfront developers debut video at RECon

Hello from sunny Las Vegas! About 33,000 developers, retailer, brokers, municipal officials and others are here for RECon, the annual meeting of the International Council of Shopping Centers, one of the largest annual gatherings of real estate professions.

Capital Business is covering many of the Washington-area players as work on deals here Monday and Tuesday, and will be posting items in this space today, Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as publishing a full package of news in next Monday’s Capital Business.

One of the most active Washington-area development teams this year at the ICSC conference is the partnership between PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette, which is developing the Southwest Waterfront in D.C.

The companies are aggressively branding the property as The Wharf, and released a newly produced video to coincide with the start of the conference.

The project has an anchor office tenant lined up, the Graduate School, and a temporary use, the Washington Kastles tennis stadium, which is helping the project seem more “real” to retailers. Check out the video below.
