After two days of highs near 70 to the low 70s, we’re a bit cooler today, but still plenty warm enough that we don’t need to worry about one of those infamous December 5th snows. We’ll cool off to near average tomorrow and Friday, before warmer air makes a major comeback on Saturday. A warm front brings uncertainty to the Sunday forecast, but what does seem certain is there’s no really cold air in sight.
Today (Wednesday): Might see an isolated early-morning shower. Otherwise, skies clear from northwest to southeast during the mid-to-late morning in the wake of a cold front. Temperatures are mainly steady in the mid-50s to low 60s for much of the day, before dropping off in the late afternoon as the cooler air mass starts to settle in. It’s rather breezy throughout the day, with 15-20 mph winds from the northwest gusting to near 30 mph. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Winds subside as high pressure builds in, and clear skies allow plenty of the daytime warmth to escape. The result? Temperatures sink to lows from the upper 20s to low 30s in the colder suburbs, to the mid-to-upper 30s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Thursday): It’s a cooler, sunny and calm day with light winds. Our overnight chill lingers through the morning, but we defrost a bit by afternoon as sunshine lifts highs to the upper 40s to near 50. Confidence: High
Tomorrow night: It’s a pretty average night for the early part of December. We may see clouds start to increase a bit - we’ll call it partly cloudy - as lows bottom from near 30 to the upper 30s (suburbs to city) . Confidence: HighA LOOK AHEAD
A nearby warm front turns skies partly to mostly cloudy on Friday. I wouldn’t rule out a shower, but any activity should be light and isolated. We’re back to more of a flow from the south, which may boost temperatures a few degrees higher than Thursday - if the clouds don’t hold us back. Look for highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s, followed by mild Friday night lows in the 40s with a continued chance of an isolated light shower. Confidence: Medium
On Saturday, clockwise flow around high pressure centered off the coast pumps warmer air our way from the south. Highs head for the 60s with partly sunny skies and still the chance of an isolated shower. Saturday night lows are super mild, in the upper 40s to low 50s, with a little better chance (30%) of some showers. Confidence: Medium
With a warm front still near the area, Sunday may turn out to be a rather cloudy day with a chance of showers. Temperatures are going to depend on exactly where the front lines up, so for now we’re looking at a large forecast range for highs - somewhere in the 50s or 60s. Confidence:Low
