FORECAST IN DETAIL

We’re taking the chill out of the air today with a nice warm up to close out the weekend! Enjoy it today since, while the warmth remains tomorrow, some showers could dampen the day as our next cold front comes through. By Tuesday and Wednesday though, we’re cleared out again, with temperatures just a sliver below normal plenty of sun to boot.

Today (Sunday): Well, there may be a few too many clouds around to pull out the “Nice Day Sun,” but that won’t stop me from calling it a nice day. Partly to mostly sunny skies and a wind from the south help take the chill out of the air. Afternoon highs top out around the mid-70s. Winds may gust near 25 mph at times. Confidence: High

Tonight: When we get these gusty southerly winds, that usually means there’s a cold front heading our way, and tonight is no exception. Clouds increase overnight, though we should manage to stay dry through morning. Mostly cloudy skies help keep the temperatures up, with lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Monday): One thing I can say with some confidence is that mostly cloudy skies should prevail. What’s less certain is how much rain will fall from those clouds. Different models tell a different story, but the frontal system looks to be strong enough for at least a 50% chance of showers, with even a rumble or two of thunder possible. Highs likely reach the low-to-mid 70s. Confidence: Low-Medium

Tomorrow night: Any showers move out during the evening, leaving mostly to partly cloudy skies in their wake. Cooler and drier air streams in overnight, pushing lows down to the mid-40s to near 50. Confidence: Medium

A LOOK AHEAD

With high pressure moving in behind the cold front, Tuesday and Wednesday are looking pretty nice, if a little on the cool side. Sunshine should be plentiful both days with perhaps a bit of a breeze on Tuesday. Highs should reach the mid-to-upper 60s both days, with Tuesday night lows in the upper 40s to near 50. Confidence: Medium-High
