Washington, D.C. area weather through Saturday - at least - should be stellar. Each and every day likely features sunshine and mild temperatures. Midweek, we even feel a touch of Indian summer - with highs exceeding 80 Wednesday and Thursday. We may cool modestly Friday into the weekend. Is this the calm before the storm? We are monitoring the possibility of inclement weather by Sunday or early next week.
Today (Monday): Just like Sunday, it’s beautiful - with cobalt blue skies and pleasant temperatures. In fact, we’re a few degrees warmer than Sunday’s peak around 67, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds from the northwest at around 10 mph. Confidence: High
Tonight: Clear, calm, and crisp. There’s quite a range in tempertures with low 40s in the cooler to the low 50s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): It keeps getting better if you enjoy mild fall weather. More sunshine, with temps even warmer yet, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s. There’s not much wind to speak of, but breezes become southerly in the afternoon at around 5 mph. Confidence: High
Tomorrow night: The southerly flow takes away a bit of the crispness from the evening air, but it’s quite pleasant. Lows range from the upper 40s in the cooler suburbs to the upper 50s downtown. Confidence: High
A LOOK AHEADThe combination of sunshine and winds from the south bring unseasonably warm air for Wednesday and Thursday. Highs both days are in the upper 70s to low 80s - that’s some 15 degrees above average. Wednesday and Thursday night are relatively mild, with lows mainly in the 50s, except some upper 40s in the cooler suburbs. Confidence: Medium-High
A little backdoor cold front may cool things down modestly for Friday and Saturday, wind winds coming more from the northeast rather than the south. We’re still looking at plenty of sunshine, with highs 70-75. Overnight lows are in the upper 40s to mid-50s (suburbs-city). Confidence: Medium
By Sunday, we may start to feel the squeeze between a tropical system near or just off the East Coast and a cold front approaching from the west. I’ll call for increasing clouds, a small chance of showers and highs near 70 -- but this outlook is highly subject to change. Confidence:Low
