FORECAST IN DETAIL

As the case has been with weekends around here lately, Saturday may be the star, but Sunday’s not far behind. The difference today is a bit more humidity and the chance of a few showers or storms later in the afternoon or evening. That chance continues tomorrow before a cold front ushers in some spectacular weather for our midweek.

Today (Sunday): You’ll notice a bit of humidity creeping back into our daytime heat, but it’s still at more or less comfortable levels. What that extra moisture does do is add a 30% chance for some late-afternoon into evening thunderstorms. Otherwise, skies are partly sunny as highs make the upper 80s to near 90. Confidence: Medium-High

What is the Storm Threat Level?

Tonight: Shower and storm chances remain around 30% this evening and into the overnight as humidity levels continue to rise. Aside from the risk of storms - any of which could be rather strong - we’re looking at mostly cloudy and mild conditions, with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s and a light wind from the south. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Monday): A cold front coming through keeps a 30-40% chance of showers and storms going through the morning and maybe into the afternoon. It also stirs up 10-20 mph breezes from the west/northwest as highs max out in the 80s under partly sunny skies. Rain chances should diminish by later in the afternoon as drier air begins to filter in behind the front. Could be a real nice sunset. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Cooler, drier air continuing to move in on breezes from the northwest makes for a very nice night. Skies are mostly starry by nightfall and temperatures drop nicely to overnight lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

A LOOK AHEAD

Tuesday looks absolutely gorgeous! Skies are bright and sunny with low humidity and a refreshing breeze from the northwest. With below-normal daytime highs near 80, it’s truly a day to savor! (and, yes, one that’s worth two exclamation marks). Clear and cool Tuesday night with lows near 60. Confidence: Medium-High

Wednesday is still plenty pleasant with humidity still in check. But it is a little warmer with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s. Confidence: Medium-High
