Certainly a fall-like feel out there. But the sun, even if a little less than Saturday, takes the edge off the chill. Get the Digit on Twitter | Discuss on Facebook

FORECAST IN DETAIL

High pressure to our north does a nice job defending our area from showers associated with a storm system off the coast through tomorrow, though we may see some clouds from time to time. Highs continue to run a bit below average through Monday, but aren’t all that bad for November. We’ll warm a few degrees Tuesday and Wednesday but pick up a shower chance, too. How about Thanksgiving? Perhaps the finest weather of the week will accompany our feasts.

Today (Sunday): High pressure centered over New England battles a disturbance off the Southeast U.S. coast for control over our skies. That probably means a few more clouds than yesterday, but partly sunny skies should still provide enough warming for similar highs in the low-to-mid 50s.Winds are light from the northeast. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: There’s a positive side to partly to mostly cloudy skies - you’ll likely not need to bust out the ice scraper before work Monday morning. Lows are a bit warmer thanks to the clouds, from the mid-30s in the colder suburbs, to the low 40s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Monday): Skies should stay partly sunny as high pressure holds on to our north. Temperatures remain on the cool side, though maybe a couple degrees warmer than today, as highs reach the mid-50s with light winds from the north/northeast. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: We’re still rain-free, but likely with some clouds around as a broad area of low pressure continues to sit and spin off the coast. Upper 30s to low 40s should do it for overnight lows beneath those partly to mostly cloudy skies. Confidence: Medium

A LOOK AHEAD

Tuesday through Wednesday, the combination of an upper-level disturbance above us and a strengthening low-pressure system off the coast yields partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance for a shower or two. Highs aim for the mid-to-upper 50s with Tuesday night lows near 40 to the mid-40s. Confidence: Medium

Any chance of showers should be gone or finishing up by Wednesday night. The early read on Thanksgiving? It’s looking quite nice. Maybe on the breezy side, but for now signs point to plenty of sun and highs warning to near or past the 60-degree mark. Confidence: Low-Medium
