FORECAST IN DETAIL

We’re on our way to warmer weather starting today. Once skies brighten later this morning, temperatures get a nice little jump. But it’s early in the work week that we’ll see the warmth really come into its own, with a shot at 70 by Tuesday. With rain chances tending toward the nighttime hours, it’s not a bad way at all to start December!

Today (Sunday): Like yesterday, we may see fog around as you wake today. But with winds turning around to come from the south, it should clear out quicker than yesterday, revealing partly sunny skies that help boost highs to the mid-50s to near 60. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: A weak system swinging by mainly to the north brings cloudy skies and a decent (50/50) shot at a few rain showers as well. The rain won’t do much to cool our temperatures though. In fact, the clouds help seal in some warmth with overnight lows looking more like recent highs, only dropping to the upper 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Monday): Looking mighty nice as the masses head back to work tomorrow. Any showers should be out of the area fairly early in the morning, giving way to partly sunny skies and a nice bump in temperatures. Expect highs in the mid-to-upper 60s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Mild flow from the south makes for an even warmer night than tonight. No need to worry about the ice scraper in the morning as overnight lows only dip to near 50 to the mid-50s. Confidence: Medium-High

A LOOK AHEAD

I gotta say, Tuesday looks pretty darn nice! Skies are mostly sunny, and the air is warm. Highs should at least make the upper 60s, and may even top out near 70 with a little help from southerly winds. Confidence:Medium-High

Clouds are on the increase Tuesday night, and there’s a 30% chance of a few showers as a cold front comes through and lows drop to the mid-40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium

Wednesday may feature some early showers. But the main story looks like increasing winds from the northwest as a cooler air mass works its way in. That means cooler highs in the 50s despite clearing skies. Confidence: Medium
