FORECAST IN DETAIL

Today (Wednesday): As last night's cold front moves out to sea, any leftover early-morning clouds or fog give way to mostly sunny skies by mid-morning. The sun sticks around through afternoon, and highs near 80 with low humidity aim to please. Though some may find 15-20 mph winds from the north/northwest a bit of a nuisance, especially when they gust at times to 25-30 mph. Confidence: High

Tonight: Skies remain mostly clear through evening and into the overnight, before clouds start to increase again toward dawn as winds shift to come from the north/northeast. Lows are nice ‘n comfy in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Thursday): Low pressure off the mid-Atlantic coast spins some clouds and maybe a light shower or sprinkle our way. Still, it’s a fairly nice day with partly sunny skies, highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and light winds from the northeast. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Nothin’ doing as far as the weather goes Thursday night. Just a quiet, partly cloudy night with lows from near 60 to the mid-60s. Confidence: High

A LOOK AHEAD

High pressure takes control of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Friday. The result for us is plenty of sun and blue skies with highs near 80 to the low 80s, followed by mostly clear skies Friday night and lows from the mid-50s to the mid-60s (suburbs to city). Confidence: Medium-High

Onshore flow this weekend could give us some intervals of clouds. But overall skies should be at least partly sunny, possibly mostly sunny at times, and temperatures hit the sweet spot with highs from near 80 to the low 80s. Saturday night lows settle in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High
