Pretty hot and pretty humid. But that sorta seems like normal Memorial Day Weekend? Get the Digit on Twitter | Discuss on Facebook
Hope you’re ready for some summer, as it’s here the next few days. Though, it seems like the first real heat often coincides with Memorial Day weekend, so perhaps it’s as fun for some as the BBQs and heading to the beach? Feel free to let us know. If you don’t like the heat, well, you might be out of luck as it appears there is no major break anytime soon.
Today (Saturday): Humidity is up, and that means there may be some patchy morning fog or low clouds. But as the strong late May sun rises, they should burn off rather soon. Once they do, temperatures shoot toward highs in the mid-80s to near 90. Heat indices will be noticeable as well, and since it’s one of the first times this year, you should take it a bit easy. There’s not zero risk of a storm or two, though they should generally stay west. Keep a watch late day though. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: It’s a rather pleasant evening if you ignore the fact that humidity is still high. Temperatures should “plunge” into the 70s around and after sunset, bottoming out near 70 and into the low 70s. Watch out for some of that late night fog or low cloudiness again as well. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): After any morning cloudiness burns off, we are set to see temperatures soar again. This time highs should range from near 90 and into the low 90s. Heat indices are again a bit problematic by late day -- be sure to hydrate in addition to lathering on the sunscreen. Thunderstorm coverage is again expected to be minimal if anything at all, but you’ll want to take a peek before heading out in the afternoon. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: We’ve got another calm evening ahead, and overall it’s a partly clear night. Lows should range from near 70 to the mid-70s. Confidence: Medium-HighA LOOK AHEAD
Memorial Day is setting up to be another scorcher, with partly sunny skies and temperatures ranging from near 90 to the mid-90s. I think most of it should be dry, but rain odds are probably slightly higher (perhaps about 30%) by late afternoon as compared to today and tomorrow. Confidence: Medium
By Tuesday, a cold front pushes in from the west and tropical moisture should ride up it from the south. This promotes partly to mostly cloudy skies overall as well as the likelihood of showers and storms by late in the day -- some of which could be heavy. Even with the clouds around, expect another toasty one with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Confidence: Low-Medium
