Close to perfect, but I’d like mid-70s before I call it a 10. Kind of greedy, I know. Get the Digit on Twitter| Discuss on Facebook

FORECAST IN DETAIL

What a weekend, right? Just in time for Easter festivities we get a near perfect weekend across the mid-Atlantic. If you thought yesterday was just a bit on the cool side, don’t worry, we’ll eke out those few extra degrees today. A couple of disturbances bring shower chances later tomorrow into midweek with noticeably cooler air Tuesday and Wednesday. But any shower activity is most likely on the light side, and probably not enough to reverse what may be a developing drought for the area.

Today (Sunday): They don’t come much better than this! Partly to mostly sunny skies close out a beautiful Easter weekend. We still have a bit of a breeze to deal with, gusting to near 25-30 mph at times in the afternoon. But it’s from a mild westerly direction, which helps give temperatures a small boost over yesterday. Most spots should see highs near 70 or in the low 70s. Confidence: High

Tonight: It’s not as cool as recent nights thaks to a continued breeze. We’re looking at partly cloudy skies with lows in the 40s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Monday): The day should start partly to mostly sunny. But skies probably cloud over by or during the afternoon, with a shower or two possible during the mid-to-late afternoon. Winds from the west are even breezier than today with gusts near 35 mph. Highs should at least reach the mid-60s. If the clouds hold off long enough, then near 70 is within reach. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: A cold front pushing through brings the potential for spotty light showers for the first half of the night. Winds diminsh overnight and skies try to clear toward morning as lows bottom in the 40s again. Confidence: Medium-High

A LOOK AHEAD

Our cold front passage packs a decent punch this time, with noticeably cooler air for Tuesday. Look for partly sunny skies and highs probably no better than the upper 50s to near 60. Winds are rather breezy once again and we can’t count out a stray shower or two. Frost may be an issue Tuesday night with lows possibly as low as the mid-30s in parts of the area. Confidence: Medium

Shower chances increase to around 30-40% on Wednesday as a little disturbance passes through the region. But any showers should be generally light. Otherwise, we’re looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-50s to near 60. Confidence: Low-Medium
