Upper 80s are a little much for mid-April. If it’s going to be this warm, need pools/beaches open. Get the Digit on Twitter| Discuss on Facebook
We begin the week with our warmest day since last September or even August, with temperatures soaring well into the 80s. The balance of the remainder of the week is not as warm, but still mild, with temperatures mainly in the 70s. However, a strong cold front likely charges through the region Saturday, bringing the week’s best rain chance and then cooler weather for Sunday.
Today (Monday): Southwesterly breezes (at 10-15 mph) and sunshine will have us mistaking April 16 for June 16. Temperatures easily pass 80, with most spots reaching the mid-to-upper 80s. I can’t even rule out a 90 degree reading or two, mainly south of town. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: A very mild, summerlike evening as temperatures only slowly fall back through the 70s. A weak cold front moves through late at night, bringing just a few clouds. By morning, lows range from the low 60s downtown with mid-to-upper 50s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): The cold front drops high temperatures about 10 degrees - but that’s still plenty mild. Under a mix of clouds and sun, highs reach the mid-to-upper 70s. Winds are from the northwest at 10-20 mph. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy skies and cooler - but not cold. Lows range from 45-53 (suburbs-city). Confidence: Medium-HighA LOOK AHEAD
A weak disturbance to our south drifts northeastward Wednesday, increasing cloud cover and bringing a 30-40% chance of mainly light showers. The clouds may hold high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s - although it would take just a little sunshine to pass 70. Gradual clearing Wednesday night with lows in the 40s to near 50 downtown. Confidence: Medium
High pressure builds back into the region for Thursday and Friday producing dry, pleasant, and mild weather. Highs Thursday are in the low 70s with mid-to-upper 70s by Friday. Overnight lows range from the 40s to near 50 Thursday night, and 50-55 Friday night with increasing clouds. Confidence: Medium
A strong cold front plows through the region Saturday potentially (50-60% chance) accompanied by a period or two of heavy showers and thunderstorms. This does not look like an all-day rain, but it’s too early to pin down the exact timing. Warm air ahead of the front pushes temperatures into the mid-to-upper 70s. Clearing Saturday night, with lows 40-45. Confidence: Medium
Partly sunny and noticeably cooler Sunday, with highs only in the mid-to-upper 50s. Confidence: Medium
