Some sunshine, low humidity, perfectly mild, with nary a threat of a shower. This is summer light! Get the Digit on Twitter| Discuss on Facebook

If this is the new climate, count me as a fan! There is just nothing to complain about if you are out and about from now through the weekend. The lack of humidity this time of year is the main gift for this boy from the desert. The only thing missing is a late night shower for the gardeners out there.

Today (Thursday): A cloud deck arising from northeasterly flow may mar the sunshine at times today. Clouds will be most prevalent east of I-95. Nevertheless, the dry air is breathtaking and the breeze from the northeast assures that a sweat should not be broken. Highs reach the upper 70s to lower 80s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: Starry skies and temperatures in the 70s make an evening worthy of a stroll. The lows end up in the upper 50s suburbs to lower 60s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Friday): Sunshine is the name of the game but blue skies are challenged as high clouds are likely to zip through from time to time. In any event, another gorgeous day with minimal humidity and light breezes. Highs top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Starry skies and evening readings in the 70s kick off the weekend in style. Lows range from mid-50s outside the beltway to lower 60s in town. Confidence: High

Saturday should at least attempt to be a degree or two warmer but humidity levels remain below reproach. Sunny skies make the pool or beach a great place to relax. Highs should at least reach 80 in most areas but a few challenge the 85 degree mark. Evening temps hold in the 70s with overnight lows in the mid-50s to lower 60s. Confidence: High

Sunday is a great day to be up before the sun to glimpe a sliver of a crescent moon almost touching Jupiter in the eastern sky. For the rest of us we can witness another sun-filled day without oppressive dew points. Highs reach the low-to-mid 80s and kindly slip into the mid-to-upper 70s for the evening. Lows reach the upper 50s to mid 60s. Confidence: High

Monday should finally come closer to normal summer weather with an uptick in the humidity and temperatures. After the weekend it should be hard to complain. Increasing clouds are possible but highs should still reach the low-to-mid 80s. Confidence:Medium-High
