FORECAST IN DETAIL
When we moved our clocks forward by an hour Sunday, we might as well have flipped our calendar ahead two months - because that’s how mild it’s going to be this week! Aside from today, most days this week we easily sail pass 70, and 80 could be within reach later this week. There will be the episodic shower chance, mainly tonight and towards the start of the weekend. But, more often than not, warm sunshine...
Today (Monday): The day gets off to a promising start with some sunshine and steadily rising temperatures from the 40s to near 60 by noon. Clouds increase a bit during the afternoon, with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s. Winds are from the south at 10-15 mph, with a few higher gusts. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: The southerly flow carries in warm and humid air, so showers are a decent bet overnight, probably beginning sometime 6 and 10 p.m. from west to east. The clouds and showers hold up overnight temps, with lows only from the upper 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Clouds generally decrease during the morning hours and temperatures respond by bouncing up into the low-to-mid 70s during the afternoon. By late in the afternoon, there’s a slight (20%) chance of a shower or thundershower as a weak front passes by. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Any shower activity ends during the evening, then skies partially clear. Winds come in from the west - but the air to the west is fairly mild, so overnight lows only drop into the mid-40s in the cooler suburbs to the low 50s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High
A LOOK AHEADWednesday and Thursday both look marvelous. Lots of sunshine each day with highs in the mid-70s Wednesday, and 75-80 by Thursday as winds come in from out of the south. Clear skies Wednesday night allows low temperatures to dip back down into the 40s in most of the suburbs to near 50 downtown. Thursday night is a bit milder with the southerly flow, with lows from the mid-to-upper 40s in the cooler suburbs to the mid-50s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High
Friday into Saturday, a weak area of low pressure to our west may (30-40% chance) draw enough moisture over our area for a few showers, especially in the afternoon and/or evening hours. But we’re still in the thick of a very mild air mass and should have intervals of sunshine during both days, with highs in the 70s. I wouldn’t be stressing out about a lot of rain on St. Patrick’s day at this point. Friday night and Saturday night’s lows range from the upper 40s to low 50s (suburbs to city). Confidence: Medium
While a long ways off, Sunday looks dry and very mild - with highs well into the 70s. Confidence: Medium
