It’s still nice and not too hot, but afternoon clouds and maybe a few showers drop the digit a point from yesterday. Get the Digit on Twitter| Discuss on Facebook

Our fabulous weekend continues for a good part of today before an approaching area of upper-level low pressure increases clouds this afternoon and brings a chance of showers as well. The upper-level low lingers through the first half of the week, keeping us in a pattern of variably cloudy skies with afternoon shower chances. Last week’s heat is long gone, so let’s enjoy the cooler air while we can!

Today (Sunday): Bright sunshine fills the skies once again early today, but by the afternoon we’ll see them turn partly to mostly cloudy as a disturbance swings in from the northwest. With the instability created by cold air aloft comes a 20-30% chance for mid-to-late afternoon showers or an isolated thunderstorm (best chance north). Highs are a little warmer but still comfortable in the upper 70s to near 80. Winds come from the west around 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: A shower or two may linger into early evening. But for the most part we’re looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies through the night. Unless you’re actively dodging raindrops, it’s a pleasant evening temperatures falling back toward overnight lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Monday): Monday looks nice enough as well. I suspect we’ll see a bit more clouds than sun, though it should be a pretty even spread. Once again a few afternoon showers or an isolated thunderstorm might pop up (30% chance). Daytime highs in the mid-to-upper 70s coupled with noticeable breezes from the northwest around 15-20 mph keep us feeling kind of cool for early June. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Still can’t rule out a shower but chances are down to about 20%. Otherwise expect partly to mostly cloudy skies and lows in the mid-to-upper 50s. Confidence: Medium-High

The upper-level low sticks around Tuesday and Wednesday, and if anything a bit of an onshore flow at the surface makes for even cloudier and cooler conditions than Monday. We’re looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies with a 30-40% chance of mainly afternoon/evening showers or an isolated thundershower. Daytime highs probably don’t go higher than the mid-70s and could be as low as the upper 60s. Tuesday night lows dip to the mid-50s. Confidence: Medium
