FORECAST IN DETAIL

If you’re reading this, you may be one of few on a day with such benign weather. Please check in with a comment! Seriously though, it’s going to be a downright awesome one today. We round out the weekend with a slightly increased chance of some rain. And speaking of rain, we could of course still use any we can get, and there’s a decent shot we’ll be adding to recent totals as the workweek begins. But first, savor the day.

Today (Saturday): This is the type of day you want to bottle up and use on a weekend. Fortunately, it’s timed perfectly on its own. Mostly sunny skies help boost temperatures to a range from the upper 70s to low 80s. A light wind from the west helps add to the overall pleasant mood. Plan on busy outdoor attractions! (and, as Camden says, “grab the sunscreen.”) Confidence: High

Tonight: A sweet evening for an outdoor dinner or maybe just sitting on the grass and watching the sun set. Temperatures falling through the 70s prior to dark only slowly dip to lows in the upper 50s for the suburbs to the low 60s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Clouds should be just to our southwest as the day begin, or possibly already entering the area. With some luck, we’ll hold on to partly sunny skies into the midday. Either way, as the afternoon progresses, clouds should thicken and the chance a shower or two arrives during peak warmth. Right now, it doesn’t look like too much to worry about, but something to consider and/or check back in on if heading outdoors for long. Highs rise to near 80. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Clouds are plentiful, and while there should not be widespread showers, there’s about a 30% chance of them through the night. With the cloudy blanket overhead, and increased dew points, temperatures should be pretty uniform around 60 degrees for lows. Confidence: Medium

A LOOK AHEAD

Our pattern is in no rush to change, so clouds and showers are a risk again on Monday. By mid-afternoon, there’s a 60% chance of getting wet. It’s still pretty uncertain whether this will be scattered activity or potentially a heavier episode by the afternoon. Regardless, with all the clouds and some showers, highs probably don’t waver too far from 70. Confidence: Low-Medium

Following lows again near 60, Tuesday brings more gray and potentially wet weather. Depending on how low pressure passes by, and how it gathers itself, we could be again talking either scattered showers or a more meaningful rain. Highs? You guessed it. Near 70 once more. Confidence: Low-Medium
