FORECAST IN DETAIL
The October weather we know and love - sunny 60s and 70s with low humidity - is on the way. But you wouldn’t know it being outside yesterday or today. This clunker of a weekend continues with another cold and cloudy day today plus the chance of more showers, all thanks to a big upper-level area of low pressure that won’t clear until Tuesday. Once we’re rid of it though, we’re in for a treat, as a large area of high pressure takes over and brings a stretch of sunnier and warmer weather.
Today (Sunday): Much like yesterday, we’re dealing with a breezy chill and the potential for showers. Shower chances are best (around 40%) north and west of town, and about 30% for everyone else. A few afternoon peeks of sun are possible, but not definite, amidst an otherwise mostly cloudy day. Highs only reach the low-to-mid 50s with winds near 10-15 mph from the northwest. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Overnight, the main threat for rain moves back into the mountains, but we still have a shot at an isolated shower or sprinkle. Otherwise, we see partly to mostly cloudy skies and cold temperatures. Overnight lows dip to the mid-40s to as low as the upper 30s far north and west, with even some snow showers in the mountains.
Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Monday): We’re still pretty much right under the upper-level low pressure. That means more isolated to scattered showers, mostly cloudy skies, and cool highs in the mid-50s to low 60s. Winds from the west aren’t quite as breezy as today. Confidence: Medium
Tomorrow night: The upper-level low finally begins its exit to the east, but may still hang around long enough that I have to mention the chance of a lingering shower or two. Temperatures fall to lows in the mid-to-upper 40s underneath scattered clouds. Confidence: Medium
A LOOK AHEADHigh pressure begins to set up shop over our area Tuesday and Wednesday as we say good riddance to the upper-level low. That means nice weather (for a change!) with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to near 70. And lucky for us, beautiful weather looks to stick around into next weekend. Confidence: Medium-High
