When you think of April weather in London, cloudy, rainy, and cool may come to mind. Not this year and not right now. The forecast for the next week is for nothing but sunshine and highs in the 70s (21 to 25 C).
Yesterday, when the mercury climbed into the upper 70s (25 C), 18 degrees (10 C) above average, “millions flocked to beaches, parks and outdoor spaces, with supermarkets reporting a massive rise in sales of barbecues” said the UK Telegraph.
Perhaps the unseasonably warm conditions are payback for London’s frigid, snowy December.
Now let’s see if this weather can stay put for the Royal Wedding, just nine days away...
