PM Update: Some sun finally returns Wednesday, warmer

Count yourself among the many if you’re sick of this unseasonably cool, cloudy weather. But just in time for the Nats return to D.C. and first home playoff game in 79 years, the sun should make an appearance as the mercury warms to near normal levels. Coincidence? I think not.

Through Tonight: More cloudy, gloomy weather. If you live east of I-95, drizzle may even dampen you late at night. Patchy fog is also a possibility, throughout the region. Overnight lows range from the mid-40s to near 50 (downtown).

Wednesday: We begin the day cloudy, but an advancing cold front actually helps push away some of the low level clouds. By late morning, skies should be brightening. Afternoon skies are partly to mostly sunny, with highs around 70. Great October baseball weather if you ask me.
