Region Battered by Heavy Rains, Wind, Tornado?

*Damage, Flooding Reported After Storms*

Trees down. Lights and power off. Numerous reports of flooding, wind damage and road closures. Over 2.5 inches at Reagan National Airport since last night. Oh, and there's that issue of a possible tornado in Stafford County. Just your average night in the D.C. metro area, right?

Powerful storms that came through the region last night touched off high winds, hail and heavy rains, with rainfall rates exceeding an inch an hour at times. (Reagan National recorded just shy of an inch of rainfall between 1-2 a.m).

Radar-estimated rainfall indicates the rain jackpot stretching from southwest to northeast from Stafford to Prince George's counties. Overnight storm totals were over 3 inches in some locations.

What storm stories do you have? Also, don't forget to see our full forecast into early next week, and NatCast for tonight's game at Nationals Park.
