Storms End, Turning Cooler

The showers and thunderstorms have exited the metro region and are crossing the Chesapeake Bay. Some spotty severe impacts were reported -- including penny to quarter-sized hail in Fairfax and Montgomery counties and some wind damage in Charles County (Port Tobacco) from downed trees.
