Storms Sliding into Metro Region

* Full Forecast Through the Week | Scenes for Memorial Day *

The rain mercifully held off for a good part of the metro area through mid-afternoon, providing warm sunshine for Memorial Day activities. But through this evening, showers and thunderstorms, some with torrential rain, dangerous lightning, and gusty winds, will impact much of the region. Rainfall totals will generally be around 0.25-0.5", but locally heavier amounts are possible in thunderstorms. Temperatures will fall back from near 80 (when the rain begins) to the upper 60s by midnight.
