Snowfall forecast. Issued 11:00 p.m. 2/17 and still validIt’s desperation time for snow lovers. The latest models have shifted the northern edge of Sunday’s simulated precipitation south and do not indicate any snow for the District. And even snow chances in our southern suburbs are iffy.
The look of the national radar adds to the pessimistic snow story. Radar echoes don’t seem to be gaining much latitude and there are some big gaps in coverage in parts of the South.
We continue to stand by our snow forecast issued this time yesterday. It’s probable we won’t get snow, or, if we do, it won’t stick. But we must continue to allow for the fact the storm might shift a bit north at the last minute and produce some light accumulations tomorrow evening, especially south of town.
Please check our forecasts and updates tomorrow for the latest.
