Update: Rain Gives Way to Sunny Sunday

It took a little while to get started, but otherwise today's rain -- the first measurable one since Oct. 1 -- went off pretty much as forecast, with many areas from the District toward points north and west receiving between 0.5" and 1" of precipitation, and lesser amounts south and east of the city.

Now the rain has moved off to the east, just in time for a Saturday night with clearing skies and lows in the low-to-mid 40s in the burbs to the uppper 40s to near 50 downtown, and a sunny Sunday with highs in the upper 60s.

See our full forecast into next week.
