Sunshine yielded to clouds this afternoon, capping afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 – some 7 to 8 degrees below average.  A chilly night lies ahead before another day not unlike today tomorrow.

Through Tonight: I can’t rule out a very isolated shower or snow flurry early this evening, especially well north and west of the beltway.  But, generally speaking, it’s partly to mostly cloudy and dry with overnight lows dropping from 30 in the colder suburbs to 35 downtown.  Winds are from the northwest at 10 to 15 mph, producing wind chills in the 20s by early in the morning.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):  Skies are variably cloudy and it’s on the brisk side.  Highs reach the low 50s (still 5-8 degrees below average), with winds generally around 10 to 15 mph with some gusts over 20 mph at times.
