“Pink” full moon dazzles in D.C.’s night sky

Thursday night’s “pink” full moon rose magnificently above the eastern horizon, and many Washington, D.C. photographers captured it in all its glory.

Named for spring flowers rather than its true color, the heavenly orb progressed through shades of orange, yellow, and ultimately white as it ascended.
