PM Update: Increasing clouds tonight, with humidity edging up on Thursday

It was another delightful day across the area as temperatures rose up to around 80 most spots. Some increase in clouds might tell the tale of what’s ahead, but we don’t expect conditions to deteriorate quickly from a tropical disturbance with plans to dampen the region in the future.

Through Tonight: The clouds you’ve noticed increasing a bit today should continue to persist into the night. In fact, we may ultimately end up mostly cloudy, with the greatest shot of that over the western half of the area. Otherwise, it’s pretty serene. Lows range mainly from near 60 to the low 60s, but a place like downtown might not drop below the mid-60s.

Tomorrow (Thursday): Moisture levels increase aloft and at the surface and that means clouds are much more numerous during the day than recently. Some showers (30% chance) are slightly possible at times, particularly over western areas or west of there. Temps are a bit tricky depending on how much clouds vs. sun we see. The most likely range seems to be mid-70s to near 80, but add enough sun and getting into the low 80s won’t be impossible. Either way, you’ll notice it becoming increasingly “tropical” as those dew points rise with time.
