Washington, D.C. supermoon extravaganza (PHOTOS)

Washington, D.C. and the surrounding region got a double dose of the supermoon, with the nearly full perigee moon gracing the evening sky both Saturday and Sunday. Amateur and professional photographers throughout the area seized on the opportunity, capturing stunning shots of the biggest and brightest moon of the year.
