I am convinced that Washington, D.C. is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  Early on this September morning the weather was perfect, the Harvest Moon was setting in the western sky, and the sun was rising over the monuments on the National Mall.  It doesn’t get much better in D.C. for a photo shoot or a scenic walk on the Mall.  It was worth getting up early today.

If you missed the Harvest Moon this morning, it rises again this evening in the eastern sky.  It should be a nice scene as the moon rises above the Washington skyline at 7:08 p.m. – within one minute of sunset, 7:09 p.m. Photo opportunities abound, east and west!
