Changes are a comin’, and we might end up finishing the month on the opposite end of the hot side where we started it. But first, we’ve got a mainly passable few days ahead. Today’s not the best if you’re a big sunshine fan, but rain dodging should at least be kept to a minimum. Then, through Tuesday, there are very few weather worries to be had.

Today (Saturday): I think we see quite a bit more clouds than sun, but that doesn’t mean the sun won’t make any appearances. We could also see rounds of showers, the first as soon as morning. That batch mostly wants to stay southeast though. Additional isolated to scattered activity is possible (50% chance) at times, probably favoring late afternoon into the night. Nothing notably heavy is expected though, and it could be more miss than hit. Highs are mostly in the 60s, ranging from about 63-69, depending on cloud thickness and onset of any precipitation. Winds are light from the east and south. Confidence: Medium

Tonight: Clouds remain numerous into the evening, along with a shower risk which may persist through about midnight when the front passes. After that, skies begin to clear and winds may kick up a bit out of the northwest. Lows range from the lower 40s in the coolest spots north and west to closer to 50 downtown Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Sunday): It’s a rather pristine autumn day filled with lots of sunshine, but you may want to layer up as high temperatures generally range from near 60 to the mid-60s. That means much of the day could be in the 50s. A breeze from the west only adds to the slight chill in the air. Grab a warm beverage and head out pumpkin hunting or leaf peeping? Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: With generally clear skies and winds that are quite light, we set ourselves up for some nice overnight cooling. After a brisk evening, lows settle into the upper 30s in the rural suburbs to the low 40s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

A LOOK AHEAD

Monday gives us another taste of some milder weather, and you might want to take it in as it doesn’t appear we’ve got a whole lot of it left — at least for a while. Mostly sunny skies promote highs rising to the mid-and-upper 60s. Someone might even touch or pass 70. Confidence: Medium-High

Following a mainly clear night with lows in the 40s, Tuesday brings much the same type of weather as Monday. We should remain mostly sunny, though some increase in clouds may be noted, particularly by afternoon, as a cold front approaches the area. Highs from the mid-60s to near 70 feel delightful, and much warmer than what we’ll see as soon as Wednesday. Confidence: Medium
