Clouds held pretty tough today, especially I-95 and east. That helped keep high temperatures in the low-and-mid 50s many spots in that part of the area, but mid-50s to near 60 was more common further west and southwest. We’ll continue to see mainly high clouds float by into the night, but we’re headed clearer overall through the weekend.
Through Tonight: We may see partly cloudy skies for a time this evening, but clouds increase a bit again overnight as a storm system to our south gets a little closer. Lows range from the upper 30s to mid-40s, and winds are light or nonexistent most of the night. Some patchy fog may form near water or in valleys.
Tomorrow (Saturday): We probably won’t see full sunshine with a low off to the south, but we should stay dry despite showers making it as close as southern Virginia or thereabouts. Overall, it should be clearer as the day goes, with the most clouds south. We’ll call it partly cloudy and hope for the best! Highs are probably mainly in the mid-60s but some upper 60s are possible too, so about 63-69. Winds are from the north around 5-10 mph.
Sunday: Coming off morning lows in the 40s, temperatures are pretty similar to Saturday, again heading for the mid-60s to near 70. A weak front that pushed through overnight helps clear the air a bit, so mostly sunny skies should do it, perhaps with high clouds around through a good part of the day. Winds are light from the northeast.
Pollen update: Tree pollen remains moderate, with 17.57 grain/cubic meter. All other pollens and mold spores are low.
