Tree explodes from lightning strike in Saratoga Springs, New York (VIDEO)

Never, ever seek shelter under a tree during a thunderstorm. This video provides all the proof you need.

The footage was recorded at Saratoga Spa State Park by its box office surveillance camera on June 3.

Here’s yet another recent dramatic scene (from early June) in which a truck was engulfed by a lightning strike near Toefield, Canada (in central Alberta):

The couple inside the truck survived, but the vehicle’s electrical system was destroyed, reports CTV.
