Washington’s 2014 fireworks show in less than a minute (VIDEO)

I put a Hero3+ video camera on the ground an inch from the edge of the Reflecting Pool and recorded the show.  Here (above) is D.C.’s world famous fireworks show compressed into a timelapse video that is under a minute in length.

Also shot with a Hero3 camera? The mind-blowing video of a fireworks show in West Palm Beach below. It was recorded aboard a drone that flew into the thick of the action, and posted to YouTube by Jos Stiglingh in May. The unbelievable footage has gone viral this Independence Day weekend:

(The wow factor aside, flying a drone into fireworks is unsafe and possibly illegal.)
