Spectacular double rainbows flank fierce storms in Washington, D.C. (PHOTOS)

Behind an intense line of thunderstorms, the setting sun intercepted the departing raindrops forming absolutely spectacular double rainbows throughout the Washington, D.C. area. The glowing rainbows were unusually vibrant and long-lived, completing a pair of unblemished arcs across the sky.
