“Into the Storm” draws in Capital Weather Gang at advanced screening (PHOTOS)

Last night, Warner Bros. Pictures hosted an advanced screening of the tornado disaster flick “Into The Storm” for the Capital Weather Gang and its readers.  The 100 free tickets went fast.

The movie opens in theaters August 8 and we’ll have a candid review then.

For now, here is a summary of the plot (from IntoTheStormMovie.com):

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

While a detailed assessment must await the movie’s official release, I can say it was quite entertaining and everyone I spoke to enjoyed it.
