Wild summer skies from Montana to Mississippi to Maine as summer front cuts across nation (PHOTOS)

A weather front that divided the nation Wednesday gave rise to atmospheric instability that spanned from the Northeast to the South and then back into the northern Rockies. The consequence? Dramatic cloud forms, vivid lightning, roping waterspouts, and vibrant rainbows that put on a show across the nation.
